Windows 7 Security via Panda Antivirus Pro 2009
Panda Security, company that specializes in providing security software solutions, has recently announced that the next iteration of the Windows-based operating system ranks as one of their top priorities, security wise of course. Consequently the Spanish security software developer has developed and released a Windows 7 compatible version of their Panda Antivirus Pro 2009 product.
Please note that this software application is still in Beta, just like the Windows 7 version Microsoft officially released to the general public to test – not the later builds, such as Build 7048, which surfaced on torrent sites. Still, this is not to say that Panda Antivirus Pro 2009 for Windows 7 will not provide an adequate level of protection. The Windows 7 compatible security solution will provide the goodies you’ve grown accustomed to get from Panda Security: built-in firewall, malware protection (viruses, spyware, Trojans, rootkits, bots, and so on), identity theft protection (phishing, banker Trojans, rootkit).
For about one year now, Panda Security has fitted its products with a piece of technology called Collective Intelligence. This is a cloud-based detection technology that would detect malware before it has the change to become a threat for the network and will come in handy when you need to stop malicious software that is so new, security researcher did not have enough time to come up with a proper protection solution.
Consumer Unit Director, Collective for Panda Security, Pedro Bustamante comments: “Under the traditional malware protection model, IT security companies have to receive a new example of malware, manually analyze and classify it, then create and distribute the vaccine. This simply takes too long. Collective Intelligence lets us automate these tasks, thereby speeding up the process. Protection from the cloud, on the other hand, lets us provide malware vaccines to our users as soon as we have generated them, protecting them in real-time.”
