Released back in October, the Winamp Pro app for Android-powered devices turned out to be a big success. Since its launch, the app has been installed more than 10 million times. That is an important milestone, one that deserves to be celebrated. So the Nullsoft team decided to do just that – celebrate. In honor of the fact that Winamp Pro for Android has been installed more than 10 million times, and to celebrate the Holiday Season, Nullsoft is offering the app at a discounted price.

Normally priced at $4.99, Winamp Pro for Android is now offered for the discounted price of $2.99. Just get the Winamp app from the Android Market, then upgrade to Winamp Pro from within the app. Please note that the Holiday Season offer will not last long. So if you don’t hurry up and take advantage of this holiday offer, you’ll have to pay $4.99 instead of $2.99.

For no money whatsoever, you can get Winamp for Android, a free and properly good media player for your mobile device. For $2.99 (assuming that you will take advantage of this limited-time offer), you get access to a bunch of extra features that the free Winamp version does not have, like for example the option to customize the home screen.

If you’re not familiar with the extra features Winamp Pro has to offer, here’s a list:
  • 10-band graphic equalizer
  • A customizable home screen
  • The ability to navigate or browse your music by Folders
  • Crossfading between tracks
  • Gapless playback
  • Support for FLAC playback in the Folders nav (lossless audio playback)
  • Replay Gain Support (configurable in Settings menu)
  • Personalized SHOUTcast station recommendations (based on music in your Android device)
  • The ability to play streaming audio URLs in SHOUTcast (supported formats only)
  • No Ads

With that said, I once again invite you to go get Winamp from the Android Market and upgrade to Winamp Pro from within the app.
