Back in April we were reporting that if Panda Cloud Antivirus, the free security solution offered by Panda Security, is not enough for you, you have the chance to win a free 6-month license for Panda Cloud Antivirus Pro. All you had to do was “like” Panda’s Facebook page and download a special setup installer.

If you missed that announcement and you’re still craving for a free Panda Cloud Antivirus Pro license, then I have a new announcement for you: you could win a free 3-year license by taking part in the “summer Picture with Cloud Antivirus” contest. Panda Security will give a 3-year license to the five most creative users who take part in the contest.

What do you have to do to take part in the contest? Here’s the lowdown: you have to take a picure of yourself at some place you find somehow interesting or funny with a text that says “I like Panda Cloud Antivirus” or something similar. You can hold up a banner with that text, or you could use an image editor to add the text; it doesn’t really matter. You have between July 1st and August 31st to post your picture on Panda’s forum here. If you post a creative picture, you may be among the five lucky winners to get a 3-year Panda Cloud Antivirus PRO license.

I mentioned above that there’s the free Panda Cloud Antivirus security solution and the Panda Cloud Antivirus Pro solution. For those of you who do not know this, the free version has the following to offer:
- Antivirus and antispyware protection from the cloud.
- Rootkit protection.
- Permanent online and offline protection and improved offline protection by disabling AutoRun on your PC.
- Behavioral blocking on new and unknown threats.
- Advanced configuration and exclusion for experts.
- Automatic and transparent updates.
- URL and web filtering of malicious, drive-by exploits and phising sites.
- No nagging screens.
- Support for 20 languages.

The paid Pro version adds a few extras to the mix. The following ones:
- Behavioral analysis of running processes.
- Automatic USB vaccination.
- 24x7 multilingual tech support.

In related news, Panda Security announced earlier this week that version 1.5 of Panda Cloud Antivirus has been released. The team behind the security solution explained that this latest version comes with the following changes:
  • Scanning speeds have been improved dramatically.
  • CPU consumption has been reduced thanks to improvements in the BackgroundScan.
  • New graphical installer.
  • Ability to close the banner.
  • New advanced configuration options for exclusions of files by extension, Potentially Unwanted Programs and more.
  • Activity monitor shows scanned files and last virus detected.
  • Report now includes entries for Collective Intelligence cache synchronizations.
If you would like to get Panda Cloud Antivirus 1.5, you can get it here.
