Earlier today we reported that Microsoft rolled out IE10 to the 700 million Windows 7 users out there. We now have some more good news: you can win some pretty cool prizes in the new “Share your Windows 8 Story” video contest.
People keeping track of these things will remember that Windows 8 was released for general availability on the 26th of October, 2012. To celebrate the fact that its touch-optimized operating system has been out there for 4 months now, Microsoft is running a video contest and it is putting up some very cool prizes.
The premise of the contest is simple: “we want you to show us what you love to do and how Windows 8 is helping you do it.” What you have to do is come up with a video that presents your personal Windows 8 story and then enter it into the contest by uploading it via the Windows Facebook page. The videos must be submitted between February 22 and March 22. The voting phase will be between March 7 and March 22. And the judging period will be between March 23 and March 31. The winners of the competition will get their hands on these cool gifts.
