The new Twitter web profile started rolling out to Twitter users all over the world. If you want to give your existing profile a makeover, make the switch!

A list of all the things you can expect to get from the new Twitter profile is available below. The one I found to be most interesting is the option to pin tweets to your profile.

On Tuesday, April 22, microblogging and social networking site Twitter announced that it started rolling a new web profile experience. And more to the point, Twitter announced that it started rolling out a new web profile to users all over the world. Access your account on Twitter.com and you should be invited to get started with the new web profile.

The new web profile has a lot to offer. To keep things nice and short, here are the main features, in list form:
  • Profile photo – upload a profile photo (recommended size 400x400 pixels) and it will be automatically resized to fit on your profile page.
  • Profile header – this is similar to Facebook’s option to set a cover photo. You can pick a bigger photo and use it as your profile header. A gallery of beautiful photos is available for those who need some inspiration with their headers.
  • Pin tweets – everyone can see the tweets you pin to the top of your profile.
  • Best tweets – best content is easier to find; tweets with more engagement are slightly larger than other tweets.
  • Filter tweets – choose which timeline to view (tweets, tweets with photos/videos, tweets and replies) when checking out other profiles.
“Your Twitter profile shows the world who you are. We look forward to seeing what that means to you!” said Twitter designer David Bellona.
