Want to Get the Super-sized iPad Pro? Here's What You Need to Know!

Back in September, Apple confirmed the rumors that it is working on a super-sized tablet when it unveiled a new 12.9-inch iPad Pro, the biggest iPad ever. Apple explained that the new iPad Pro has 5.6 million pixels, the most ever in an iOS device. It also explained that the new 64-bit A9X chip gives the iPad Pro the power you would expect from a portable PC.

What Apple did not say is when the 12.9-inch iPad Pro will go on sale. Now it has! The super-sized tablet is available to order online on Wednesday, November 11. Before you go get the tablet, take a look at what it has to offer.

iPad Pro – Main Specs
  • Operating system – iOS 9.
  • Display – 12.9‑inch, LED-backlit, multi-touch display with a resolution of 2732 x 2048 and 264ppi.
  • Size & weight US – 12-inch height, 8.68-inch width, 0.27-inch depth; 1.57 pounds weight.
  • Size & weight metric – 305.7mm height, 220.6mm width, 6.9 mm depth; 713 grams weight.
  • Processor – 3rd generation A9X 64-bit processor and an M9 motion coprocessor.
  • Storage – 32GB and 128Gb for the WiFi model, 128GB for the WiFi + Cellular model.
  • Camera – 8MP ƒ/2.4 aperture iSight camera with autofocus and face detection; FaceTime HD camera that takes 1.2MP photos and shoots 720p HD video.
  • Network – LTE.
  • Connectivity – WiFi, Bluetooth.
  • Sensors – Touch ID, three-axis gyro, accelerometer, barometer, ambient light sensor.
  • Battery – built-in 38.5-watt-hour rechargeable lithium-polymer battery that offers up to 10 hours of surfing the web on WiFi, watching video, or listening to music.

iPad Pro pricing and availability

The iPad Pro is available as a WiFi and as a WiFi + Cellular model. The 32GB WiFi model is priced at $799 while the 128GB model is priced at $949. The WiFi + Cellular model offers 128GB of storage only and is priced at $1079.

The iPad Pro goes on sale November 11, 2015. You can get yours at Apple.com, Apple’s Retail Stores, select carriers and select Apple Authorized Resellers.

At launch, the iPad Pro will be available in 40 countries. iPad Pro accessories – Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil



Get things done faster by using the Smart Keyboard. It’s a full-sized, thin and durable keyboard that’s covered in custom woven fabric. You can connect it to the iPad Pro via the Smart Connector port – there’s no need for Bluetooth pairing, an on/off switch, or a separate battery.

Priced at $169, the Smart Keyboard goes on sale on November 11, 2015, the same date as the iPad Pro.

Apple’s 12.9-inch iPad Pro is the biggest iPad ever. If you're into hige tablets but you don't want one that runs Apple's iOS, you want one that runs Google's Android, then you need to know about the recently released Galaxy View.

The Galaxy View was released in the US on November 6, 2015. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $599.99.

Both Apple and Samsung have super-sized tablets to offer. And that’s a good thing, because it gives you the freedom to choose between a iOS and Android. The question is…
