With the Voicepic app for iOS you can take a picture, add audio to it, then easily share it with your friends and family.

I like a bit of context with the images I see, and my friends know this. So when they show me their pictures, they will tell me where the picture was taken, who’s in the picture, and other things of the sort. Wouldn’t it be great if you could also do this on your iPhone? Well, with the free Voicepic app you can! This app lets you add audio to images and lets you easily share them with others.

Using Voicepic is a very straightforward matter. The first step in creating a new Voicepic is to take a pic right then and there or choose an existing pic from your gallery. The next step is to add audio to the selected pic. You can say something and leave it like that (please note that the audio recordings are limited to 8 seconds), you can use filters to change the way your voice sounds, and you can use various sound effects. The final step is to save your VoicePic in your Camera Roll or share it with others. You can share it via popular social networking site Facebook, via popular micro blogging site Twitter, via email, or via text message (SMS).

To recap, using Voicepic is as simple as:
  • Take a picture or choose an existing one.
  • Add audio to the picture: voice recordings, voice recordings altered with filters, or sound effects.
  • Save the picture, share it with others (via email, SMS, Facebook, or Twitter).

Let’s get back to the example at the start of this article. Thanks to Voicepic, when I see a friend’s photo, it’s like having that friend there to provide a bit of context. Isn't that great?

Voicepic is available for free in the App Store
