Vine, the app that lets you create and share looping videos, continues to expand its reach. As of this week, the app added one more entry to the list of supported platforms: Windows Phone 8. Or to put it in other words, this week the official Vine app for Windows Phone 8 has been released to the public. Anyone can get it for free from the Window Phone Store.

“Today, we’re launching Vine for Windows Phone, making it easy for even more people to capture and share life in motion,” announced on Tuesday, Vine Designer Ryan Swigart.

Vine for Windows Phone 8 – Main Features
  • Record videos using your front or rear camera.
  • You can create 6-second long looping videos with sound.
  • Handy camera tools such as grid and ghost will help you shoot videos like a pro.
  • You can upload as many videos as you want.
  • Share Vine videos to Facebook or Twitter.
  • Find and watch videos posted by other Vine users.
  • Interact with other Vine users.

“The new Windows Phone app looks great and will have you creating videos in no time,” commented Microsoft’s Michael Stroh. “Once you start playing around, it doesn’t take long to understand why Vine is so popular and addictive. Like composing a clever tweet or haiku, it can take some practice and imagination to make good use of your six seconds,” Stroh added.
