If you plan on watching a scary movie this Halloween on an Apple-developed device and you need a good looking, easy to use, powerful media player that will play just about any format you can think of straight out of the box, then you need to get the VLC media player. There’s a VLC version for any Apple-developed device you can think of. There’s VLC 1.1.3 for Mac OS X 10.5 or later, VLC 1.1 for the iPad, and VLC 1.1 for iPhone and iPod Touch.

VLC 1.0 for iPad, as you may remember, was launched to the public last month in September. The app, developed by mobile applications developer Applidium, went live on Apple’s App Store on the 21st of September.

VLC 1.1 was launched to the public a couple of days ago. Version 1.1 adds support for the iPhone and iPod Touch – that’s the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and “recent iPod Touches.”

Besides adding support for the iPhone and iPod Touch, VLC 1.1 comes with the following new features:
- You can now delete files from the application, without having to go through iTunes
- Many more extensions are being recognized.
- Much faster decoding thanks to assembly optimizations

Come Halloween, you are covered. You can watch spooky movies or videos with VLC on your Mac, iPhone or iPod Touch.

Moving on, if you would like to feast your eyes on something sexy not spooky, you will be glad to know that the Victoria’s Secret iPad app has been released. The app’s official description goes like this:
