Piriform recently updated the Android version of its CCleaner junk-cleaning utility. The nice thing about the update is that it introduces the option to uninstall system apps.

But mind you, your Android needs to be rooted for this to work. No problem, you can easily root your Android with the free Kingo Android ROOT.

There are certain applications on my Android mobile that I never use. Since I don’t use them, I should get rid of them, right? Actually, it’s not that simple, because they’re system applications that came bundled with my Android smartphone. Consequently, I can’t uninstall them as I would any other app. I just have to put up with them taking up space on my Android. Or do I?!

The very useful CCleaner app for Android has recently been updated to version 1.07. The developer, UK-based privately owned software house Piriform, saw fit to give CCleaner the ability to uninstall system applications. So just by getting the latest CCleaner for Android, I can get rid of the apps that annoy me so much. That’s great!

Oh, but there’s a catch. My Android device needs to be rooted. Unless it’s rooted, I can’t use CCleaner to remove system apps. No problem, rooting it is an incredibly simple matter. The free Kingo Android ROOT tool makes it incredibly easy to root an Android smartphone.
