Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
What is Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time?
It’s a third-person action-adventure puzzle-platformer.
You play as the titular Prince of Persia, who gets tricked by the treacherous Vizier to release the Sands of Time. The sands turn everyone in the city of Azad into savage monsters, meaning it’s now up to you to make everything right again.
The game is mainly centered around solving puzzles, which require you to run on walls and perform other acrobatic feats. But there’s fighting as well. When you’re not solving puzzles, you’re fighting the creatures that the Sands of Time created.
Oh, and speaking about the Sands of Time, they allow you to turn back time. So if you fall off a ledge for example, use the Dagger of Time to turn back time and try again. But mind you, you can’t do this indefinitely. The dagger doesn’t hold an infinite amount of sand. You’ll have to recharge it when it runs out of sand, something you can do by defeating enemies and by finding sand clouds.
When can I get Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time for free?
Anytime during the month of June, 2016.
To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Ubisoft will give away a total of 7 PC games from its extensive library. One in June, one in July, one in August, and so on until December. Since this game is 13-years old, its system requirements are quite low: an 800MHz processor, 256MB of RAM or more, 1.5GB of storage space, and a 64Mb graphics card will suffice.
