People who have an iOS-powered device will be glad to find out that two new and I think very useful apps have been rolled out to the App Store by the team behind Wolfram Alpha, the computational knowledge engine developed by British-born physicist and Mathematica creator Stephen Wolfram.

The first app is called Wolfram Mortgage Calculator Reference App and is a touted as being the ultimate mortgage calculator and more. If you’re thinking about buying a home for yourself or for your family, this app will help you calculate fixed and adjustable rate mortgages and its extra features will help you make a buying decision.

Speaking of features, here are the features Wolfram Alpha said its mortgage calculator app has to offer:
- Fixed rate mortgage calculators to estimate monthly payments, with advanced inputs to include points, balloon payment, tax rate, and more
- Adjustable rate mortgage calculators for 1-, 3-, 5-, and 7-year periods and various rate cap structures
- Basic mortgage calculations to quickly analyze different scenarios
- Amortization calculations to provide additional insight into your mortgage or to study any type of loan
- Nominal to effective rate computations
- A depreciation calculator for investment property depreciation
- Bonus information on housing prices, utility prices, and current interest rates
- Bonus rent vs. buy and relocation calculators to inform your decisions
.

If you would like to get Wolfram Mortgage Calculator Reference App, you can grab it from the App Store for the low price of $1.99.

The second app to be released is called Wolfram Words Reference App and it is touted as being much more than just a dictionary. It lets you find synonyms for words, find out what acronyms mean, and access tools to solve world puzzles. As Wolfram Alpha put it, if you get the app you will have easy access to everything you've ever wanted to know about English words.

Here are the features Wolfram Alpha said its dictionary app has to offer:
- Find the common definition of a word as well as its pronunciation, first known use, origin, inflected forms, and general usage
- Find synonyms, acronyms, rhymes, and homophones
- Calculate popular word game scores and find possible words using your letters
- Compute word patterns given only a few letters or compute words that begin or end with certain letters
- Get historical crossword puzzle clues or enter specific letters to find word possibilities
- Perform document length and time conversions given a number of words, pages, or characters
- Convert a sentence into Morse code or Braille and look up Soundex codes
- Generate a QR code or barcode from a word or phrase
- Find notable uses of a word in a city, book, movie, and other names or explore a word's frequency throughout history.

If you would like to get Wolfram Words Reference App, you can grab it from the App Store for the low price of $0.99.
