Launched back in the summer of 2010, Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 is a properly good security software solution you could get to protect your Windows-powered computer. The awards that Kaspersky Internet Security has won since its launch are proof that it fights security threats effectively.

In the past we’ve reported that Kaspersky Internet Security won a Platinum Self-Protection Award from Anti-Malware Test Lab, a well-known and respected IT security research and information web portal (site here). Anti-Malware Test Lab tested Kaspersky’s self-protection capabilities; the web portal used utilities designed to imitate various attacks such as modifying or deleting file and registry key access permissions, modifying or removing modules/processes/code, deleting antivirus databases, deleting registry keys, modifying/unloading drivers, and terminating processes.

We also reported that Kaspersky Internet Security got an AV-Test certification after passing all the tests the independent German research center AV-Test threw at it. During the months of July, August and September (Q3 of 2010) AV-Test put a total of 19 security software solutions to the test with the aim to see how well they can protect a Windows XP SP3-powered machine. Kaspersky Internet Security passed all the test and scored 5.5 out of a maximum score of 6.

Today we are reporting that Kaspersky Internet Security won two more awards:
- The 'Super Product' award from benchmark.pl, a popular Polish computer technology internet portal. Kaspersky Internet Security won the award because it offers best value-for-money, best scanner and protection performance, ease of use, has an excellent firewall, has an effective Parental Control filter, has superb filters to prevent data leakage, and has little or moderate load on the system.
- 'Best Security Suite' award from French IT magazine Micro Hebdo. After putting 15 popular security software solutions to the test, Hebdo concluded that Kaspersky Internet Security 2011 is the Best Security Suite. This is the second year in a row Kaspersky Internet Security is named Best Security Suite by Micro Hebdo.
