Leaving apart the fact that the development team behind the multiprotocol instant messaging app Digsby have announced the release of Build 67 which is meant to make Digsby a better Twitter client, it seems that the popular micro-blogging site is taking over, well, everything. Perhaps taking over is a too harsh a word; Twitter is not taking over, it is “smoothly integrated” into all the popular online services out there.

Twitter co-founder has announced that as of this week MySpace account users can take “their @usernames with them by syncing their accounts with Twitter.” What this means is that MySpace users that sync their MySpace account with Twitter will be able to update their Twitter status in much the same manner they do from the Twitter homepage, the status and mood page, or from their web-enabled mobile phone. Updating your status in MySpace means your Twitter status will be updated as well; updating your Twitter status means your MySpace status will be updated just the same.

Then Biz Stone came out with another announcement today. This time the co-founder of the micro-blogging site announced that Twitter will be integrated into AIM, Bebo, AOL.com. Other online services, mainly YouTube, Flickr, Digg and Facebook are also on board with this Twitter integration. As a matter of fact, YouTube added a share on Twitter button back in March, but hey, it just goes to prove that Twitter is an integral part of the most popular online services out there.

“There are tens of thousands of mobile, desktop, and web applications creating a variety of ways to interact with Twitter on your favorite device or service. We think people should read or write tweets wherever they prefer so we work with social networks, mobile networks, television networks, and search engines to make that happen,” commented Biz Stone.
