With the aim of making the fun photo editing tool ubiquitous, Nik Software’s Snapseed is now available for Android-powered devices as well.

People keeping track of these thing will remember that Nik Software, now part of Google, rolled out Snapseed for iPad and iPhone in the summer of 2011 – the iPad version in June and the iPhone one in August. The company kicked off 2012 by making the application available for Mac OS and then for the Windows operating system – this happened in January and in February respectively. Google’s mobile operating system was next on the list – in the last month of 2012, the Snapseed app showed up in the Play Store, thus proving that Nik Software is indeed working hard on making Snapseed ubiquitous – available on all major desktop and mobile platforms.

Thanks to the functionality offered by the award-winning Snapseed app you can make any photo extraordinary. Auto Correct, Tune Image, Selective Adjust, Center Focus, rotate, filters, frames, borders, and other photo editing features are put at your disposal so that you can enhance the way an image looks. Once you’re done editing a photo, you can save it on your device or you can share it with others. Snapseed’s sharing features cover Google+, email, and any other service you have installed.

“Snapseed is the only photo app you’ll want to use every day. It makes any photograph extraordinary with a fun, high-quality photo experience right at your fingertips,” says Nik Software in Snapseed’s official description. “Anyone can enhance, transform, and share their photos with ease using incredibly advanced features from the leader in digital photography software. Built-in Google+ capabilities make it even more powerful to share your images with your friends and family.”
