With the first Alpha builds of the Snow Leopard, Mac OS X 10.6 already available on the most popular torrent trackers out there, you might not want to get the OS just now (since it is in its early development phase); what you might want to do is tweak your Mac OS X 10.5.6,codename Leopard. The great thing about the Titanium Software developed OnyX 2.0.3 is that it gives you loads of customization/tweaking options and does it all without asking for any money in return.

“OnyX is a multifunction utility (maintenance, optimization, and personalization). OnyX allows you to verify the Startup Disk and the structure of its System files, run miscellaneous tasks of system maintenance, configure some hidden parameters of the Finder, Dock, Dashboard, Exposé, Safari, Login window and some of Apple's own applications, it deletes caches, removes a certain number of files and folders that may become cumbersome and more,” says Titanium Software.

Certain changes and improvements have been made with version 2.0.3 of OnyX:
- Brand new Info panel.
- Modifying the number of recent places in the dialogs.
- Enhanced Delete logs.
- The text content of numerous alert messages has been revised and modified.
- In the Catalan version the bug that occurred when the Parameters panel would be open was corrected.
- The Help menu has been reindexed and updated.
- OnyX 2.0.3 works with Mac OS X version 10.5 upwards.

In related Apple news, the hackers have shown an incredible interest in the recently released iWork ’09 and have cracked it immediacy after the software was released. With the iLife ’09 suite that was released at the Macworld 2009 Expo, Apple has updated their iPhoto 09 software and made it such a big hit that it won the “Best in Show” award.

If you would like to get OnyX 2.0.3, a download location is available here.
