Try a Free and Good Looking Countdown Timer and Alarm Software
Free Countdown Timer is a free application that lets you set up three types of alarms: countdown to date, daily alarm, calendar event.
It’s good to be reminded about important events – it is even better to know how much time is left until that important event. Take your anniversary for example. It’s quite nice when an application reminds you about your anniversary. It is even nicer when that application lets you know how much time you have left. You can use that time wisely to prepare and get a nice gift for your partner.
Media Freeware has an application that does both these things: Free Countdown Timer. The application lets you create three types of alarms, but the one I am going to focus on right now is the countdown to date alarm. Say your anniversary is on the 16th of August. After creating an alarm, Free Countdown Timer will display a countdown window on your screen and will also play an alarm on the time and date you specify. This way, you know how much time you have on your hands to prepare and an alarm will play to remind you about the event.
Setting up a countdown to date alarm is quite simple. Just enter a title, a brief description, a date, a time, and you’re set. Don’t forget to go to the Settings menu and select an alarm sound for the application to use.
Once created, the alarm will be displayed on the application’s interface, along any other alarms you may have created. As previously mentioned, you can use Free Countdown Timer to create three types of alarms: countdown to date, daily alarm, and calendar event.
The countdown to date alarm will also be displayed as a floating window – by default, the window is placed in the lower right hand corner on your desktop.
Of course, you can have floating windows for all your alarms. Just double click the alarm from the main interface and the floating window will be displayed on the screen.
