Just like Rovio Mobile, the developer behind the popular puzzle video game Angry Birds, and just like Twitter, company that doesn’t need any introduction, Ceruleans Studios, the developer behind the company behind the popular multiprotocol instant messaging application Trillian, has come out to announce that its application is available in he recently released Mac App Store.

“We are happy to announce the arrival of Trillian to the amazing new Mac App Store. Build 166 is also being sent out to existing customers who do not have access to the store, and fixes Facebook feeds and a few other crashes. We are excited about the opportunities provided by the new App Store and will be listening closely to feedback to help us shape Trillian moving forward. There will be many great new features added to our Mac version in the coming months, so stay tuned and thanks for your support!

Cupertino-based software developer Apple announced the Mac App Store back in December; it said at the time that the Mac App Store would be rolled out on the 6th of December. True to its word, on the 6th of December, Apple rolled out the Mac App Store – as part of the Mac OS X 10.6.6 update that, by the way, fixes just one security problem.

There are currently more than 1,000 free and paid apps in the Mac App Store. All these apps are sorted in categories like Education, Games, Graphics & Design, Lifestyle, Productivity and Utilities. Mac OS X Snow Leopard users who got the 10.6.6 update have easy access to the multitude of apps available in the Mac App Store. Speaking of which, it must be said that one day after the Mac App Store’s launch, more than 1 million downloads were recorded.
