The first step in delivering popular multiprotocol instant messaging application Trillian to BlackBerry users has already been taken at the start of May – this is when Cerulean Studios rolled out a Beta of Trillian for BlackBerry to "a small number of testers from diverse backgrounds.” The second step in this endeavor has now been taken as Cerulean Studios rolled out Trillian for BlackBerry Beta to the general public.

“Trillian for BlackBerry is now available for public beta testing! This is an early beta but we’re now opening the doors to all interested testers. We hope you enjoy testing this exciting new version of Trillian as much as we’ve enjoyed building it!,” announced Cerulean Studios. If you would like to get Trillian for BlackBerry, check out the download link at the bottom. The usual beta warnings apply: the app may crash, it may not work properly, it may ruin your day.

Cerulean Studios said it will focus on a few key areas during the Beta test:
- Speed and performance
- Battery usage
- Stable network connectivity
- Resolving crashes, freezes, and other bug.

During the Beta test Cerulean Studios will listen to what the testers have to say about the application. You can contribute feedback and suggestions by joining the official Trillian for BlackBerry forums here. Besides feedback on speed, battery usage, connectivity and so on, Cerulean Studios would also like to know what you would like to see in Trillian for BlackBerry in the future.

Getting back to the app itself, here is what you can expect to get from Trillian for BlackBerry:

- Connect to Facebook, Windows Live, Yahoo!, AIM, ICQ, Google Talk, Jabber/XMPP, and MySpaceIM
