The successor to the world’s best-selling gaming mouse, the new G502 Proteus Spectrum, is here. This gaming mouse is amazing.

Let’s not waste any more time and take a look at the top 3 best features it has to offer.

1. Powerful and accurate optical sensor

The Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum features the world’s best DPI sensor, just like its predecessor, the Logitech G502 Proteus Core. For maximum performance and tracking accuracy, Logitech fitted this mouse with the PMW3366, its most powerful and accurate optical sensor. That’s not all. The mouse also features the exclusive Logitech G Delta Zero optical sensor technology; it increases reliable targeting and minimizes mouse acceleration.

For extreme accuracy, you should use a Logitech gaming mouse pad. You see, the G502 Proteus Spectrum is pre-tuned for Logitech’s G240 and G440 gaming mouse pads. That’s not to say that you’re restricted to these mouse pads. The G502 Proteus Spectrum works on a variety of surfaces and lets you fine tune the optical sensor based on the surface you’re using.

2. Comfortable shape, programmable buttons, tunable balance

Comfort is important. That is why the G502 Proteus Spectrum features textured rubber grips and 11 programmable buttons that are conveniently placed on the mouse. Let’s not forget about the scroll wheel, shall we? The G502 Proteus Spectrum has a hyper-fast scroll wheel that lets you pick which mode you want to use: click-to-click precision or lightning-fast scrolling.

And let’s not forget about tunable balance either. The G502 Proteus Spectrum comes with five 3.6g weights that you can use to adjust the mouse’s weight and balance.

3. Customizable lights

Yes, Logitech fitted this gaming mouse with lights – adjustable RGB lights. By using Logitech Gaming Software you can pick one of 16.8 million colors, adjust the light’s brightness, and even set your lighting to continuously cycle through the color spectrum. And if you have other Logitech G devices, you can sync the RGB lighting.

“The G502 Proteus Spectrum has an amazing sensor, and now it's got customizable lighting as well,” said Ujesh Desai, vice president and general manager of gaming at Logitech. “You can also sync it with your other RGB-enabled Logitech G gaming gear to create some really cool effects.”

The G502 Proteus Spectrum gaming mouse went on sale in the US and Europe this month, January 2016. Logitech’s suggested retail price is $79.99 in the US and €89 in Europe.
