Top 3 Apps on GetJar Gold
Introduced to the public at the start of September, GetJar Gold is an app store that offers premium Android apps for free. Apps that cost money, up to $10 in the Android Market, are offered free of charge on GetJar Gold. Get all the apps currently available on GetJar Gold and you will save over $50. I’m sure you can find a good use for that money.
Speaking of money, GetJar announced yesterday that since launching GetJar Gold, it gave away more than $1 million worth of premium apps for free. “This is by far the most successful program in the history of GetJar,” said GetJar CEO Ilja Laurs. “We are thrilled with the explosive traction the Gold program is getting and are working hard to further build out our offering to consumers and developers.”
As I mentioned above, if you get all the apps available on GetJar Gold you will save more than $50. I don’t know about all the apps, but there are at least three that I strongly advise you to get. Here are the top 3 apps that I think you should definitely get from GetJar Gold:
Guns'n'Glory
This is a fun tower defense game with a twist. Instead of planting stationary towers, you have these unscrupulous bandits that you can move around. The aim is to use them to shoot and rob the settlers of their gold – gold that you can use to hire new bandits.
I spent a whole Friday evening and a whole Saturday morning playing this game and didn’t even noticed when time flew by. And since my mother-in-law was visiting, I quite liked that. Been playing the game regularly ever since.
Imperio
There are many times when I don’t want to get out of bed to control my computer. The Imperio app lets me remotely control my PC. As a matter of fact, I can control my PC from anywhere, not just my bed. I can be out having a few drinks with some friends and still be able to control my PC. That is must-have functionality for anyone who wants to remotely control his PC. The app is easy to use and does its job efficiently.
Beautiful Widgets
What I liked about this app is that the widgets are, well, beautiful and that it has tons of customization options. There are clock, weather, clock and weather, battery widgets, and even widgets to easily turn features on or of (like WiFi or Bluetooth). I particularly like the weather widget entitled “Beautiful Weather 4x1”. I like that it displays the current conditions, a forecast for the coming days, and that when I tap the widget it displays a beautiful animation (you will have to download an extra add-on to view the animation though, but that isn’t a problem).
Get the three premium apps I mentioned above and you will save a total of $8.1. If you want to save more than that, then check out GetJar Gold at getjar.com/gold and get some more apps. New apps are regularly added.
