Even though it is not Halloween, or All Hallows Eve for those of you that are more dramatically inclined, is a long way away, you mist still crave for something that is a bit weird, that will address your craving for the supernatural. I have two iPhone apps for you that will give you goose bumps: SpiritCam and Ghost Buddy. And if they will not get your hair to stand on ends, at least they will keep you amused for a while.

Starting with SpiritCam, it must be said that this iPhone app will add a spirit effect to all the pictures you take, but not the same effect each time. What you will end up with is a picture that incorporates some spectral apparition. As long as you can keep a straight face, you could always take a picture of one of your friends and then show the “spectrally enhanced” image to him and see how he reacts. It’s not everyday that a ghost makes an appearance in the photo you just posed for, now is it? The $0.99 you paid for SpiritCam will be worth it when you see the scared look on his face.

If that is not enough for you and you would much rather enter the world of the ghosts, ghouls and specters, then perhaps you might want to give Ghost Buddy a shot. This is actually a game that you can play on your iPhone – the purpose is to scour a graveyard at night (how else?) and capture bad ghosts while helping good ones out. You can tell bad and good ghosts apart by their color: good = white, bad = red. You will get a truly spook filled experience if you combine the games graphics (which are pretty good) with the 3-D sound pumping in your headphones. Just as SpiritCam, this iPhone app does no come for free, you will have to pay $0.99 for it.

Last but not least, here is something that will make you scream in terror (if you are a Microsoft fan), or have some laughs if you are a Mackie, or just not that into Microsoft. A while back we were reporting that iPhones are strictly forbidden in the Gates household. Melinda Gates, Bill Gates ’ wife said in an interview that none of their 3 children are allowed to get the Apple developed device, but sometimes she finds herself longing for an iPhone. The guys over at Funny or Die have posted a funny lite video called “Melinda has a dirty little secret”.
