Three New Wintry Themes to Decorate Your Windows PC

Check out the new, free Snowmen, Sugar and Spice, and Ice Castles themes for Windows-powered machines. They present some very nice wintery images that will look beautiful on your desktop.

If you like winter, you like snow, and you like snowmen, then I have some good news for you: Microsoft has recently released a new theme for its Windows operating system, theme that presents 8 beautiful images of snowmen. You can grab the theme directly from Microsoft here. Before you do, check out the official presentation and a preview.

If you prefer something with more of a holiday than a wintery feel, then I suggest you get the Sugar and Spice theme. The official presentation nicely sums it up: “Nothing says 'holidays' like scrumptious baked goods. You can almost smell them with this tasty free Windows theme. They’re delicious—and calorie free!”

Enter a fairytale world of ice by getting Ice Castles, a theme that features crystalline turrets, frozen chandeliers, and translucent walls. A total of 6 images make up the Ice Castles theme, theme that you can download for free here. Check out a preview below.

Microsoft offers themes for free to its customers. You can use themes if you have a PC powered by Windows 8, Windows RT, Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate editions.
