There are some alarm apps out there that take your money if you snooze the alarm and go back to sleep. The iCuckoo alarm app for iOS and Android is such an app – but the thing is that you’ll feel good for giving it your money.

You see, iCuckoo is a charity alarm app. By hitting the snooze button, you don’t lose money, you give money to charity. You get to choose how much a snooze is worth and you get to choose when to donate money.

Because some people have problems getting up in the morning, app developers have tried lots of gimmicks to try and address the situation. That’s why there are alarm apps that task you with solving a puzzle, alarm apps that ask you to shake your mobile like there’s not tomorrow, alarm apps that get strangers to give you call, alarm apps that publicly shame you, and alarm apps that charge you for hitting the snooze button.

iCuckoo is such an alarm app. Hit the snooze button and it charges you. Normally, you would feel bad for wasting your hard earned money in such a way. Ah, but you see, by using iCuckoo you won’t be wasting your money and you won’t feel bad for hitting the snooze button.

iCuckoo is a charity alarm app. The money doesn’t go to an app developer, it goes to a charity. You get to choose how much a snooze is worth. When your snoozes add up to £1, you’ll be asked if you want to donate the amount to charity or if you want to let more snoozes accrue.

The iCuckoo app is available for free on Apple’s App Store and on Google Play. It requires iOS 7 or newer, Android 4.1 or newer to run.
