I’m sure it comes as no surprise when I tell you that Facebook is the most downloaded social app on Google Play this year. It has been downloaded more 23 million times by Android users around the world. I'm not even going to bother posting download links, because you probably already have Facebook on your mobile.

MyFitnessPal Calorie Counter, the most downloaded fitness app of 2014 on Google Play, has helped millions of people count calories and lose weight. It features a database with nutrition and calorie information for more than 4 million foods.

Even though it is only available only in a few regions, Pandora is the most downloaded music app on Google Play this year. 1.8 million Android users downloaded the Pandora app – and 1.2 billion gave it a 5-star rating.
