1. The beer gun you never knew you wanted

Ah, the Japanese and their weird yet amusing products. I didn’t know I needed a special device to pour beer, but now that I know about this beer gun, I definitely want one.

Pictured above is Takara-Tomy’s lengthily named "Beer Hour Stadium Foamy Head Dispenser," a gun-type device that promises to offer the perfect beer-to-foam ratio. The Japanese company sells it on its online store for ¥2,484, which is about $20.

2. This bracelet tells you when you’ve had too much to drink

If you think you’ll get carried away playing with your beer gun and you’ll drink too much, then you need to know about BACtrack Skyn, the world’s first wearable alcohol monitor. It is a smart bracelet that can detect alcohol levels through your skin and warn you (or notify others) when you’ve had too much to drink.

The BACtrack Skyn bracelet won first prize in the NIAAA’s Wearable Alcohol Biosensor Challenge.

3. Samsung turns a whole building into a huge Galaxy S7

Putting ads on buildings isn’t something new. In fact, it’s so commonplace that people will just most likely ignore your ad. So what can you do to avoid being ignored? Turn the whole building into a huge ad. That’s what Samsung did in Moscow. It turned a whole building into a huge Galaxy S7.

That thing is 80 meters high, 40 meters wide, and it can be seen from as far as Moscow’s Gidroproekt building, which is 2.2 kilometers away.

4. LG scales a building, with a vacuum

Can you scale a building just like in the movies? But using a vacuum instead of some fancy gear? Turns out that you can, if you use a modified version of LG’s cordless CordZero Cyking vacuum cleaner and if you’re pro rock climber Sierra Blair-Coyle.

Indie studio Sloclap and Devolver Digital are working on Absolver, an ambitious online multiplayer melee combat game that aims to blend kick-ass online action with visceral martial arts-style combat.

"You wake up in the ruins of a fallen empire, remembering vaguely a ceremony of vows: you have chosen to join the Absolvers, an elite corps of combatants, fighting to maintain stability in the world; but the road from Prospect to Absolver is a long and hard one," explains Pierre Tarno, Creative Lead at Sloclap. "You’ll need the help of others like you to stand a chance in the trials you’ll have to face: from ritual combat arenas in which you are ranked in duels and team-based challenges, to the Essence mines of Adal, where only death awaits those who venture alone, your focus and skills will be put to the test!"

Absolver will be released for PC and consoles sometime in 2017.

9. You need robots, not people, to run a farm
