As the weekend gets closer and closer, your productivity goes out the window. You don’t feel like working and you’re not really willing to go over serious news about serious topics.

So, just like the weeks before, I invite you to check out 10 news that will put a smile on your face, make you laugh, and probably even say 'wow' or 'what the f...'

1. Flixtape is like a mixtape, but for Netflix

Netflix recently introduced Flixtape, a service that you can use to create a short list of streaming titles. It’s like the mixtapes of old, but instead of music you have videos. And instead of sharing them in real life, you share them on social media.

Go get started with Flixtape.

2. Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson begins his YouTube career

The Rock’s The Rock YouTube channel is a pretty barren place. But The Rock promises that will change.

"The Internet is an awesomely cool and wonderfully deranged place and we’re fired up to have to fun!" announced The Rock via Facebook.

3. Meet the world’s first golf cart jetpack

Pro golfer Bubba Watson has a thing for crazy golf carts. Back in 2013, Bubba and Oakley unveiled a hovercraft golf cart. And earlier this week, Bubba and Oakley unveiled BW-AIR, the world’s first golf cart jetpack.

This thing has a bespoke rotary 210 horsepower engine that can reach 46mph and go up to 3,000ft high.

4. Meet Obi, the robotic dining companion

Obi is a robotic arm that will feed you. Comes in handy if you have some sort of disability, can't feed yourself, but you don’t want others feeding you either.

It might also come in handy if you’re too busy playing games and you don’t want to waste time with eating.

5. Ori is a must-have for anyone with tiny living quarters

Ori uses robotic technologies that came out of MIT Media Lab's CityHome project to create dynamic environments that act and feel as though they are substantially larger.

Or to put it in other words, Ori is robotic furniture that makes tight living spaces more bearable.

6. Hilary Clinton wants you to "Trump Yourself"

Remember how Donald Trump took a swing at Hillary Clinton by posting a Pokémon-themed video on Facebook? Seems like Hillary isn’t taking it. She introduced Trump Yourself, which lets you add Donald Trump quotes to your Facebook profile pic.

The quotes are controversial and/or insulting. Obviously.

7. You shouldn’t drive and Pokémon Go

When you’re at the wheel, you shouldn’t be texting, checking social media, playing Pokémon Go, or doing anything that’s distracting. Otherwise you might crash.

Like this guy, who managed to crash into a parked police car.

I love how he blames it on the "dumbass game".

8. SwiftMoji is an emoji-predicting keyboard app

SwiftKey, which is now owned by Microsoft, rolled out a new keyboard app called SwiftMoji. The cool thing about it is that it uses Swiftkey's word-predicting technology to predict emoji as you type.

Get SwiftMoji from Apple’s App Store and from Google Play.

9. With Bubble Zoom, Google makes it easier to read comic books

At Comic-Con 2016 in San Diego, Google introduced a cool new feature that makes it easier to read comic books on mobile devices with Google Play Books. The feature in question is called Bubble Zoom and what it does is it identifies speech bubbles and expands them one-tap-at-a-time.

"Bubble Zoom will be available on the latest version of Google Play Books app for Android as a technical preview with all Marvel and DC collected volumes supported," said Greg Hartrell, Head of Product, Google Play Books. "We’re also celebrating this preview with a 50% off sale on select DC Comics and Marvel comics in the Google Play Store — just use the code SDCC2016 by July 24th, 2016."
