1. IKEA wants you to stop photographing food

Are you the type of person who posts photos of food on Instagram and other social networks? IKEA is calling you out. The company has released several videos that showcase how silly this habit is.







Just put your phone down and enjoy your meal.


2. Google makes fun of the iPhone’s limited storage

Google Photos has a feature called Free Up Space. It will remove backed up photos and thus free up storage space so that you can take even more photos. But please, no food photos.

3. Samsung’s time-themed ads for the Galaxy S7

Samsung US got Danny Glover to star in a couple of ads for the company’s Galaxy S7 smartphone. Both ads are based on a common theme: time (as in all the extra time you get on your phone because it has a long-lasting battery).





Samsung Germany took a different approach to promoting the Galaxy S7’s long-lasting battery. With a battery test video that compares all major flagships.



If it’s battery life you’re looking for, then you need to know that the Galaxy Note 7 has a larger capacity battery than the Galaxy S7. Speaking about the Note 7, Samsung US got Christoph Waltz to promote it.

4. This robotic suitcase follows you around

Meet the Cowarobot R1, a robotic suitcase that you don’t have to carry because it moves on its own. It stays by your side and is smart enough to avoid obstacles.

5. This guy turned an Xbox One S into a laptop

Eddie Zarick, who is known for doing these types of things, took an Xbox One S and turned it into a 19-inch laptop.



Zarick’s Xbook One S is up for grabs in a free giveaway that ends on August 14.


6. Witcher 3 GOTY to be released this month

The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt will be released as a Game of the Year (GOTY) version on August 30. This version includes all the updates, all the patches, all the DLC, as well as both major expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine.



Over 150 hours of open world adventures await.


7. The ZenFone 3 has insanely fast laser autofocus

8. Meet Vodafone’s smart bikinis and swim shorts

Vodafone recently unveiled its Smart Swimwear concept, presenting smart swimwear equipped with UV sensors that track exposure to sunlight throughout the day.



" Think the Internet of Things is just for appliances around the home? Think again! As our smart bikini concept shows, IoT is set to land everywhere..." said Vodafone.


9. Moorebot is a cute animated robot

"Moorebot is designed to be cute, entertaining and to show emotions," explained Pilot Labs in a press release. "It combines robotic technology and cloud intelligence with a unique 'one eyed' camera design that can abstractly mimic human eye expressions. Like a living thing, it responds to its environment and learns to respond to various spoken commands and instructions."

10. Destroying smartphones with a bow and arrow

PhoneBuff is on a roll. After beating an iPhone 6S Plus with a sledgehammer until it caught fire, they’ve now moved on to a more refined weapon: a bow and arrow.

They used it to see if the iPhone 6S can survive an arrow from over 100 feet away.

And they used it to see if a Galaxy S7 can protect your head from an arrow.
