Leading global bank Citi just announced that it rolled out a new, a rebuilt version of Citi Mobile for iOS. The app comes with numerous navigation improvements so that it’s more visually appealing and with functionality improvements that the customers have been asking for.

“At Citi we are always listening to our customers to learn how to improve their digital banking experiences,” said Citi Global Consumer Banking Head of Digital Melissa Stevens. “Customers have asked for faster and easier access, mobile bill pay tools, credit card spend notifications and simpler app menus, and with the new Citi Mobile app, we’ve made major strides toward delivering those things and more.”

Citi Mobile for iOS – What’s New
  • A more intuitive interface – the UI has been simplified and tweaked so that it is a whole lot easier to use.
  • Auto-capture for Mobile Check Deposit – the iPhone’s camera can be used for easier Mobile Check Deposits. Auto-capture gets the best picture for your deposit by automatically focusing and taking the picture for you.
  • Real-time notifications – monitor spending by receiving real-time push notifications for sums over a pre-set amount.
  • Add, edit or delete bill payees – in the past, you could add, edit or delete your bill payees only through Citibank Online. Now you can do so from your iPhone.
  • ATM Finder – locate the nearest ATM; your 5 most recent ATM searches are stored so you can quickly select a recent location you’ve searched.
  • Make a Payment button – the “Make a Payment” button on the account summary page makes credit card payments easy.
  • Powers the Apple Watch – you no longer need to get a separate app for your Apple Watch. The new Citi Mobile app can power the Apple Watch.
  • Touch ID access – sign in using your fingerprint. And speaking about signing in, I have to remind you about Citi Mobile Snapshot, the opt-in feature released last year, feature that provides instant access to your account summary without you having to sign in every time.

“Citi customers want mobile banking that is fast, easy and makes their lives simpler,” said Citi Global Consumer Banking Chief Client Experience, Digital and Marketing Officer Heather Cox. “Last year we launched Citi Mobile Snapshot to give customers pre-login access to account information. Today, we are taking the next major step by enabling login with a mere touch through Touch ID, while also introducing a suite of new features easily navigated in a completely redesigned app.”

The new version of Citi Mobile for iOS is available for download on Apple’s App Store.
