The plainly titled Need for Speed, EA’s full reboot of the racing franchise, has been out there since November 2015 – but only for consoles (Xbox One and PlayStation 4). That’s about to change come March 2016.

Electronic Arts and Ghost Games have recently announced that the PC version of Need for Speed will launch this March – March 15 in the US and March 17 in the EU. If you can’t stand to wait until then, there’s a way to get your hands on the game faster. But there’s a catch.

NFS for PC Release Date(s)

On March 15, 2016, the PC version of the rebooted NFS game will be released. If you want to get the game, you can wait until then. Or, you could pre-order it from Origin right now. The Standard Edition is available for $59.99 while the Deluxe edition is available for $69.99.

Want early access to Need for Speed? You’ve got it! You can start playing the game a few days earlier, on March 10, 2016 but only if you’re an Origin Access member.

Origin Access is EA’s new game subscription service for PCs, service that was released just last month, January 2016. It’s similar to EA Access, the subscription service that’s been available for console gamers since summer 2015.

By paying a $4.99 monthly subscription to become an Origin Access member, you have access to a growing collection of PC games, you can try new EA games before they’re released, and you get a 10% discount on Origin purchases.
