The Most Popular Heroes Title Is Getting an HD Remake

Heroes of Might and Magic III, the most popular title in the Heroes series of games, is getting an HD remake.

Heroes of Might & Magic III HD Edition, which is scheduled to be released on January 29, 2015, will feature refined graphics and resolution. It will also feature full Steamworks support so that you can play online. And speaking about that, you will be able to play the game on the go, on your iOS or Android tablet.

Back in February 1999, 3DO rolled out Heroes of Might and Magic III (also known as Heroes III or HoMM3) to the public. The turn-based game quickly became very popular with gamers from all over the world, including myself. I spent countless nights playing this game.

Time proved that Heroes III is the most popular title in the Heroes line of games. And now that the game is getting ready to celebrate its 15th anniversary, Ubisoft is getting ready to release an HD remake. Heroes of Might & Magic III HD Edition is scheduled to be rolled out on January 29, 2015. The game will be available for Windows, iOS tablets, and Android tablets.

  • Enhanced visuals – the game features refined, HD graphics and resolution.
  • Restoration of Erathia – join Queen Catherine Ironfist as she sets off to re-conquer the kingdom of Erathia.
  • Classic gameplay – enjoy the classic turn-based gameplay. There are 7 exciting campaign scenarios, around 50 skirmish maps, a local multiplayer mode and a map editor.
  • Play online – the game comes with full Steamworks support, meaning that you can play it online.
  • Availability – the game will provide support for Windows, iOS tablets, and Android tablets.
