The Croods: First Official Gameplay Trailer for Rovio's New Game Is Out

Earlier this month Rovio announced that it will release a new game based on The Croods animation movie. The company has now released the first official gameplay trailer. Check it out right here.

At the start of the month Rovio Entertainment, company best known for its amazingly popular Angry Birds game, announced that it will roll out an new app for iOS and Android. Developed in partnership with DreamWorks, the app is based on The Croods, animation movie that presents a prehistoric family that goes exploring an incredible new world. Rovio’s announcement was accompanied by the video you can see below.


Yesterday Rovio rolled out another video. The first official gameplay trailer for the new app. Check it out to get a taste of what the game will be like. The video is presented below.


“DreamWorks Animation’s The Croods is filled with wonderful characters and creatures in an incredibly detailed, inventive world -- it was just begging for its very own mobile game!” said Petri Järvilehto, EVP of Games at Rovio Entertainment. "It's been an incredible experience having our two teams working closely together on extending the story to mobile platforms.”

The Croods app is scheduled for a March 14 release.
The Croods movie is scheduled for a March 22 release.


The Croods movie features the voice talents of Nicolas Cage, Ryan Reynolds, and Emma Stone. The movie the world's first modern family, family that lives in a cave, sheltered from danger. When the cave is destroyed, the prehistoric family has no choice but to embark on a journey of a lifetime that will have them discover an amazing world filled with incredible creatures.
