As the Apple Watch is coming up on its one-year launch anniversary, Apple released a series of 8 new videos that promote its smartwatch and drum up hype for the wearable, presumably because Apple is getting ready to release the Apple Watch 2.

Speaking about the Apple Watch 2, rumor on the web has it that the second-generation Apple Watch will come with updated internals but it will not feature a redesigned exterior. It will look the same as the old model, but it will have new, more powerful hardware.

Apple’s 8 new Apple Watch videos

The 16-second long videos that Apple released focus on the functionality the Apple Watch has to offer. Or to put it in other words, Apple highlights how the Apple Watch comes in handy if you want to stay in shape, find your misplaced phone, stay ahead of the weather, and more.

Think you’re done rowing? No, you’re not! You’re only halfway there, so keep on rowing. When you’re done, you can go capture and tame a Deathclaw.

Getting in shape is good for the body. Challenging and competing against others is good for the ego. But only if you win.

I have the exact same problem. Only I have an Android and I use other means to locate my phone.

It’s a good thing Apple introduced several new watch bands at the special press event it held this March at its HQ in Cupertino, right?

Does Alice Cooper play golf? Yes he does, he really does. He even hosts the annual Alice Cooper Celebrity AM Golf Tournament.

It’s pretty cool that you can turn off the lights from your wrist. But with all those people around, couldn’t somebody just hit the switch?

Yeah, that’s nice and all, but Yahoo!’s award-winning weather app alerts you 15 minutes before rain (or snow). So if you don’t already have an umbrella on you, you can quickly go get one.

Just take the elevator and make it up by going rowing instead.

The Apple Watch 2 will have limited design changes

If you want predictions about Apple and Apple products, there’s no better source than KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. His predictions earned him a reputation as the most accurate Apple seer around and the most reliable voice on all things Apple.

According to Kuo, the second-generation Apple Watch will feature improved internal components, but its external design will remain largely unchanged. The Apple Watch 2’s will feature “limited changes to form factor design,” but it will come with new, more powerful internals.

Apple has yet to say how many Apple Watches it sold. Kuo estimates that about 10.6 million Apple Watches were sold in all of 2015, which is below market expectations. Kuo projects that Apple Watch shipments are actually going to decrease by 25% this year and that Apple will ship less than 7.5 million units in 2016.
