Thanksgiving 2016: Top 10 Game Sales I'm Most Thankful For

Thanksgiving is about going home, spending some quality time with your friends and family, stuffing your face with delicious turkey and pie, and talking about all the things you’re thankful for.

Speaking about that, I for one am quite thankful for all the game sales that have been announced this week. If you’re the type of person who appreciates a good deal, you’re going to be thankful too.

1. PlayStation TGI Black Friday Sale (US)



On Tuesday, PlayStation US announced that they’re launching the TGI Black Friday Sale sale early. More than 100 PlayStation games are offered for up to 70% off (80% for PlayStation Plus members), a whole lot of movies are available for cheap, and there’s even a storewide coupon that you can use to get a 10% discount on one total cart purchase.

2. PlayStation Black Friday Sale (Europe)



The TGI Black Friday sale mentioned above is for US customers only. European customers haven’t been left out in the cold though. PlayStation Europe is having a Black Friday sale too and its offering tons of PlayStation games for up to 60% off.

3. Xbox Black Friday Sale



Overwatch is discounted by 30%. Forza Horizon 3 is discounted by 35%. Gears of War 4 is discounted by 40%. Other Xbox games are discounted by up to 50%. Need I say more?

4. Origin Black Friday Sale



Origin, EA’s online gaming and digital distribution platform, is having a Black Friday sale and offering discounts of up to 75% on lots of games, including Battlefield 1, Titanfall 2, FIFA 17, Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst, Far Cry 4, and plenty more.

Just before the Black Friday sale, Origin introduced the option to gift games. That’s something that you couldn’t do before.

5. HandyGames Humble Mobile Bundle




The latest Humble Mobile Bundle offers 15 Android games from independent developer HandyGames. To get all 15 games, you have to pay at least $5. Although that isn’t much, there’s an even cheaper option: 10 games for just $3. Still not cheap enough? How about 5 premium games for whatever you want to pay!

6. Google Play Cyber Week



Google Play’s Cyber Week offers great deals for several types of content: books, movies and TV shows, music, comics, apps, and games. Focusing only on the games, I want to bring up the fact that Google Play is offering huge discounts of up to 80% on top selling titles. Furthermore, it’s also offering discounts of up to 60% for in-app purchases.

7. Nintendo eShop Cyber Deals



Nintendo’s eShop is offering more than 40 games for a considerable discount. Select Nintendo 3DS and Wii U titles are available for up to 50% off.

"As people go on the hunt for great deals this weekend, we want them to remember all the high-quality games they can download without ever leaving home," said Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "From Triple-A titles to indie games, Nintendo eShop has something for everyone."

8. GOG.com Black Friday Sale



Digital distribution platform GOG.com is offering some pretty sweet deals on a variety of games: 25% off Shadow Warrior 2, Kerbal Space program for 40% off, Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition for half the price, discounts of up to 75% for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Series, and more.

9. Bethesda’s Black Friday Sale
