Security software solutions provider Kaspersky has two new offerings for you: Kaspersky Internet Security (KIS) 2010 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus (KAV) 2010. Both software products have been released by the Moscow-based security software developer earlier this month and are now available for download. As is the case with Kaspersky, you can test-drive KIS 2010 as well as KAV 2010 for 1 month, free of charge.

The 2010 suite offered by Kaspersky surpasses KIS 2009 and KAV 2009, the security software solutions that were downloaded and used by tens of millions of people all over the world. If the 2009 suite demonstrated its worth in hundred of comparative tests and with such a large user based established itself at the top of the global market, the 2010 suite takes this heritage and builds upon it by adding the latest developments in IT security.

Kaspersky Lab CEO, Eugene Kaspersky, comments: “Tens of thousands of new malicious programs appear worldwide every day. Cybercrime has become a multimillion dollar industry, demonstrating exponential growth. The routine hazards posed each day by worms, Trojans and viruses are surpassed by new threats like distributed zombie networks made up of millions of computers. The sheer scale of the problem means it is no longer possible to ensure complete security using only conventional signature-based and heuristic protection methods; the new malware landscape calls for new comprehensive protection methods. That is why Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 has implemented a revolutionary approach to protection whereby global monitoring of malicious activities is performed by the protected system itself with the aim of preventing malware from ever affecting the user’s computer.”
