The Terminator Genisys movie is scheduled to be released in the US come July – on the 1st of July, 2015, to be more precise. Glu Mobile announced that the mobile game inspired by the movie, Terminator Genisys: Revolution, will be released to the public on the same date.

The launch of the game will be coordinated with the movie's worldwide theatrical release.

“Terminator Genisys: Revolution delivers an immersive gaming experience and unique post-apocalyptic combat truly worthy of the iconic Terminator franchise,” said Niccolo de Masi, Glu Chairman and CEO. “We are proud to launch the first ever free-to-play mobile game for Terminator fans worldwide, in close partnership with Skydance Productions and Paramount Pictures.”

Terminator Genisys: Revolution is an action-packed third-person sci-fi shooter developed by Glu Mobile in partnership with Skydance Productions.

The action is set in the year 2028, when the fight against the machines has humanity on the brink of extinction. John Connor is humanity’s last hope – obviously. And it’s up to you to help him fulfill that destiny – of course.

You’ll get to join the Resistance and fight alongside key Resistance members from the movie. You’ll get to fight in hundreds of missions and make your way up the ranks. You’ll use a variety of present-day and futuristic weapons as you fight the machines in post-apocalyptic locations. Level up your weapons with high explosives, depleted uranium, and plasma. Use rockets, grenades, and EMPs against the enemy.

Visit Google Play to pre-register for the upcoming Terminator Genisys: Revolution game. Pre-registering is free and does not mean you’re signing up to purchase anything. By pre-registering you’re ensuring that you’ll get a notification when the game becomes available to the public. Mind you, you can unregister at any time.

The Terminator Genisys: Revolution game will be free to play. It will offer in-app purchases.
