Here’s a treat for all the Linux fans out there: The Linux Foundation is inviting you into the home of none other than Linus Torvalds. The man who created the Linux kernel and oversaw open source development of the widely-used Linux operating system invites you into his home and gives you a personal tour of his workspace.

Check out the video embedded below to take a tour of Linus Torvald’s home office.

But first, a word from Director of Communications & Community at The Linux Foundation, Jennifer Cloer:

“Have you ever wondered what the workspace of the world's most famous developer looks like? Well wonder no more. Linux creator Linus Torvalds invites you into his home office in this first-ever, personal tour of his workspace. It also includes behind the scenes laughs and footage, as well as a closer look at what he keeps on his desk and what he does between kernel releases. He also demonstrates how he uses his "zombie shuffling desk" (his walking desk) while working on the world's most ubiquitous software,”

And now, the video Jennifer Cloer so nicely presented.

It must be mentioned that this video is part of a series that features Linux kernel developers and their workspaces. The series is called “30 Linux Kernel Developer Workspaces in 30 Weeks.”

Getting back to Linus Torvalds, here’s another video you may want to check out. In this video, Linus reads some of the community's more colorful tweets.

Linus Torvalds is one of the keynote speakers for LinuxCon North America, event that will take place in Chicago this August. Jim Zemlin, the Linux Foundation’s Executive Director, will also take the stage at LinuxCon North America. Learn more about the event here.

Speaking about LinuxCon, you may want to know about the #hiddentux Global Treasure Hunt. You need to know about it because it gives you the chance to win two free tickets to LinuxCon and CloudOpen.
