TV Show Fans, Check Out the EZTV Android App
If you are a TV show fan and you want to get the latest $h*! My Dad Says episode or the latest The Walking Dead episode, you can easily get it from EZTV.it, a torrent site that specializes in TV shows and TV shows alone. It is your one stop destination for pretty much every TV show you can think of.
The good news is that the first dedicated EZTV app for the Google-developed Android operating system has been released. The app is called EZTVDroid; it lists the latest TV shows on EZTV, lets you search for TV shows by their title, and it can send a TV show you selected to uTorrent or Transmission BT running on your computer.
This means you can select a torrent with the app while you are on the go, send it to uTorrent on your desktop, and when you get home the torrent most likely already finished downloading. You can remotely control uTorrent on your desktop at home by using the EZTVDroid app on your Android-powered mobile device.
For the time being EZTVDroid provides support only for uTorrent and Transmission BT. Roy Besiera, the developer behind the application, said that support for other torrent clients will be added in the future.
“I decided to code the app because I am a huge fan of EZTV. I am actually a web programmer but recently I was able to get a hold of an Android device so I decided to make an app. Actually, EZTV Droid is my first app,” said Roy Besiera in an interview for TorrentFreak, site that specializes in everything torrent-related.
“EZTVDroid is a great application showing the versatility of the internet and gadgets available to people in today’s day and age,” EZTV’s NovaKing told TorrentFreak. “With the increase of smart phones and people not being able to watch their shows while they are out they are now able to remotely go in and get the shows they miss. We like apps like this so much that we are starting work on a new API which will allow 3rd party developers to access our data much more easily.”
Please note that at the time of writing this EZTV is down as part of a scheduled downtime between 12AM EST 12th November and 12AM EST 15th November.
