Stephen Colbert, the new host of The Late Show, can give you directions if you have Google’s Waze navigation app.

Obviously, you can expect Colbert to crack wise from time to time. Like when you’ll reach your destination and you’ll hear “You have reached your destination. I'm surprised, to be honest. I wasn't paying attention.”

This summer, when the Terminator Genisys movie came out, Waze added a Terminator option to the list of voice languages, so that fans of the movie could get navigation directions from Arnold Schwarzenegger himself. It was an obvious bit of promotion and press move but, as a fan, I can’t complain.

From September 8, a new host will present The Late Show – Stephen Colbert. In a promo and press move that reminds me of Terminator Genisys, Stephen Colbert lent his voice to Waze, the world's largest community-based traffic and navigation app.

“For years, I navigated the roadways using a compass, a sextant and the guidance offered by the stars," Colbert said in a statement. "But now I can just listen to my own dulcet tones instructing me on Waze."

Waze navigation voiced by Stephen Colbert will be available until September 22. Waze users in the US can select Colbert's voice from the settings section of the Waze app. That’s Settings -> Sound -> Voice Language.

Waze is a community-based traffic and navigation app that is available for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. Learn more about it on Waze.com.
