A significant discount is offered by F-Secure for its Mobile Security application that protects mobile devices. The company that provides antivirus, internet security, firewall and backup solutions to home and corporate users, announced recently that as part of a special spring offer, it is taking 60% off Mobile Security’s regular price. This means you can purchase a12-month F-Secure Mobile Security license for $16 instead of $39.99.

Spring is in the air, the weather is getting hotter, and this means that people spend more and more time outdoors – and while they’re outdoors, they use mobile devices to go online. To protect them from mobile threats, F-Secure developed the Mobile Security tool. Until the 21st of June the aforementioned tool is on sale. Take advantage of the sale and you will save $23.99.

“Mobile Security is a complete security solution for your smartphones and tablet computers. It helps protect the contents of your devices, enables safe mobile web browsing, and can assist you if your device is lost or stolen,” says F-Secure in Mobile Security’s official description.

Here’s a list that presents Mobile Security’s main functionality:

Virus and Malware Protection
Real-time protection against viruses, spyware, Trojans, and other malware is provided by F-Secure Mobile Security. The application does this automatically from the cloud. Just to put things in perspective, there are more than 10,000 mobile malware variants out there. Mobile Security protects against existing and new threats.

Malicious Website Protection
Its best to stay away from malicious websites, but how do you do that? Well, Mobile Security tells you which sites are potentially harmful and which are safe to browse.

Loss and Theft Protection
Should you lose your mobile device somewhere around the house or the office, you can use Mobile Security to activate a loud alarm. The alarm will play even if your device is on silent. If you can’t find your device and you’re worried about someone being able to access the info stored on it, you can remotely lock and wipe your mobile.
If your device was stolen, it will automatically be locked when the SIM card is changed; the thief’s phone number will be presented to you. To find the thied you can use the Remote Locate function.

Parental Controls
With the Parental Controls that Mobile Security has to offer you can protect your children from unsuitable web content (filter content based on how old your child is; block access to content grouped in 15 different categories), you can manage the types of apps your child can use, and you can prevent unwanted calls and messages to certain numbers. And sticking with the children protection theme, it must be added that you can locate your child with the Location Control feature.
