The first news is that the Skype for Mac version of the popular VoIP and instant messaging application has been updated to version 5.2. If you would like to get this latest release, you can grab it straight from Skype here. Before you do that, perhaps you would like to find out what major new bits and pieces version 5.2 brings to the table.

In the spirit of keeping things short, here are the main changes in Skype for Mac 5.2:
Group screen sharing – those who have a Skype Premium subscription can share their screen during a group video call. Product Manager for Skype for Mac, Krishna Panicker explained that “group screen sharing makes communication and collaboration on group calls even richer by enabling people to view presentations, photos and documents on a participant's screen, perfect for presenting a document to colleagues knowing they can't skip slides in advance or for sharing holiday photos with friends and family.”

Improved multi-tasking – thanks to the call control bar, you can still see who you’re talking to while multitasking. And you can mute or hang up.
Sidebar enhancement – less active conversations can be moved to the new History section while active conversations can easily be accessed under Recents.
Added support for Mac's built-in HD and Logitech's B910 HD cameras.

The second news is that Facebook and Skype announced they’re taking their partnership one step further and integrating Skype in Facebook. People keeping track of these things will remember that a few weeks ago Skype announced to the world that its users can IM, like, and comment on Facebook statuses from Skype. Now Skype is announcing that Facebook users can Skype with one another from within the social networking site. Skype video calling is being rolled out gradually; if you can't wait, you can get it now.

“This is an exciting step for us as it represents Skype's first big step on the Web, and because we know this has the potential to unlock even more conversations and make the experience on the Web even more social,” commented Vice President and General Manager for Consumer, Neil Stevens.

Facebook explained that apart from integrating Skype so that users can Skype with one another, it implemented a two other changes:
- A new sidebar that presents the people you communicate with the most.
- Create a group and chat with all the people in that group.

The new versions of Skype for MAC and Skype for Windows can be downloaded right now on FindMySoft.
