Here is what you can expect to get from Skype 4.2 Beta:
- Skype Access – with Skype Access you can pay for the minute for WiFi access. With a single mouse click you can use your Skype Credit and go online to send an email message or make a Skype call. You no longer have to go searching for your credit card and fiddle with login details to access a WiFi network.
- Call transfer – this one is pretty self explanatory: you can transfer calls to a Skype contact for free; or you can transfer it to a landline or mobile phone for a small fee.
- Other bits and pieces – like a new Call Quality indicator, numerous bug fixes, better compatibility with the Windows 7 system tray, the way Skype works with the new taskbar has been enhanced, and a better first run experience.
