Shields will be smashed, helmets will fly, lots of fun will be had with the "Shake Spears!" app for iOS and Android-powered devices.

Looking for a fun app that won’t cost anything but has the potential to keep you entertained for hours? If you answered something along the lines of “you know I am!” then I present to you Alawar Entertainment’s free, very entertaining, and highly addictive game “Shake Spears!” I have been playing it for two days now on an Android 4.0-powered Samsung Galaxy S3 and I have to say that I can’t put it down.

The game puts you in the armor suit of a valiant knight that wants to win the heart of a beautiful lady. To do so he must take part in jousting tournaments and win, of course. Use your spear to knock opponents off their horses, use your shield to block their attacks, earn money to upgrade your armor, and learn spells that will help you defeat your challengers. It’s all quite entertaining and if you’re like me, you’ll have a hard time putting the game down.

“Shake Spears is a game of GLORY, HONOR, and FAME!” says Alawar Entertainment in the game’s official description. “Become a valiant knight and enter tournaments to compete for the heart of a beautiful lady. Travel through four worlds of wonder, win battles in 20 cities, and beat challenging bosses in this epic game. It's time to become a hero for the ages!”

As I mentioned above, this game doesn’t cost a thing. You can download and play it for free. It must be said here that, if you want to, you can purchase gold and crystals. You will need gold to upgrade your armor, crystals to enter tournaments, and both to learn spells.

You can get Shake Spears from the App Store here and from the Play Store here.
