The final version of Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) has been made available for download to the general public, and it seems that alongside the features we've mentioned before, the web browser also allows you to save money online. This is made possible because IE8 has a feature called Accelerators (similar to Firefox add-ons) that allows the user to enhance his browsing experience by making things run faster and smoother. Amongst these Accelerators there are some provided by Live Search, and this is where the money saving functionality comes in.

“Most of us have researched or bought something online. And while it is nice to find great deals from the comfort of our homes, the experience itself can be fragmented and frustrating. Typically we have to visit several sites to find all the information that helps us buy the best product. Live Search is working hard to streamline the process of researching and shopping online. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could compare prices from Live Search to prices on any other site without opening a new page? You can with the Live Search Products accelerator,” explained the Live Search Team.

The whole process of you saving money courtesy of the Live Search accelerator is quite simple; it only involves three simple steps:
1. Download and install Internet Explorer 8 (IE8) on your machine. Download location available here.
2. Download and install the Show and Save with Live Search Products accelerator. Download location available here.
3. Select a word or phrase, click on the arrow-like icon and see what Lice Search has to say about it.

If you do not particularly fancy IE8 but would still like to save money, there are two other means at your disposal. The first one would be to get the MSN Toolbar which “contains a cashback–offer-detecting mechanism” or you could visit Google’s Tip Jar and see how other people are cutting down on expenses – details available here.
