Samsung Electronics, the well-known South Korean multinational electronics company, is reaffirming its commitment to a richer, healthier way of life.

Samsung showed it is committed to a healthier, richer way of life when it introduced its new Galaxy S4 smartphone. In describing the new S4, Samsung said that the device “understands how important your health is. It can help you achieve your fitness goals by monitoring your fitness levels during workouts and throughout the day. It also cares for your general health with sensors that automatically adjust the display and volume – depending on how you are using the phone –to ensure the optimal experience.”

Today, April 1, 2013, Samsung once again showed it is committed to a healthier, richer, and more sustainable way of life. Via its Samsung Tomorrow official global blog, it introduced Eco Trees to the world. An Eco Tree is a smart, eco-friendly air purifier that runs on solar energy.

Samsung SMART Eco Tree – Main Features
  • Air Fresh – supports a healthier environment by automatically converting carbon dioxide to oxygen, by using a natural filtering system to eliminate pollutants, and by keeping the humidity at a comfortable level. These functions run automatically when the SMART Eco Tree is provided with S(olar) Beams and water.
  • FOTA (Fragrance Over-The-Air) – the Eco Tree’s S Buds blossom and provide Fragrance OTA (Over-The-Air).
  • SMART Cooling – this eco-friendly cooling effect is proven to reduce stress and energy costs. The SMART Cooling features is accompanied by SMART Shades.
  • SMART View – see higher and further by climbing an Eco Tree. But please note that not all Eco Trees are suitable for climbing. Samsung does not recommend the use of SMART View for spying purposes.
  • Eco Design – you could get an Eco Tree as a nice addition to your garden. The SMART color option, available on certain models, turn the Eco Tree’s leaves to red, orange, yellow, and other colors.
  • Group Play – the use of several Eco Trees in Group Play mode results in positive synergies such as preventing soil erosion.
  • SMART Share – share Eco Trees with friends and family with the free SMART Share function. The Eco trees provide S-eeds that you can share with others.
  • Evolution Kit – upgrade to a taller, stronger Eco Tree every year.
  • Accessories – swings, ladders, tents, tree houses, and other accessories are included.
  • Special Editions – there are select models that can provide food, entertainment, and lodging for wild animals. For indoor use, there are special Eco Tree “mini” models.

"Eco Trees are already available in most regions around the world, in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Please refer to your local garden, park, or forest for more information," explained Samsung, making sure to remind us that Earth Day (April 22) is coming up.
