According to a survey conducted by extra-marital dating site Ashley Madison, men and women prefer to use Samsung mobiles to conduct their secret affairs. Apple’s iPhone is the second most popular mobile.

54% of the men who took part in the survey chose Samsung mobiles over Apple’s iPhone.
48% of the women who took part in the survey also chose Samsung over Apple.

Ashley Madison is an online dating and social networking service that focuses on offering discreet encounters to people who are in a relationship. If that doesn’t spell things out for you, perhaps Ashley Madison’s slogan will: “Life is short. Have an affair.” So if you’re married and you’re looking for some extra-marital fun, Ashley Madison will cater to your needs.

Ashley Madison conducted a survey with the aim of finding out more about the extra-marital habits of its users. Mostly British site users took part in this survey. After crunching the numbers, the site uncovered that most British men and women prefer Samsung mobiles over Apple’s iPhone.

54% of British men and 48% of women said they prefer to use Samsung devices. This makes Samsung the most popular mobile with Ashley Madison users. Apple’s iPhone came in second – 24% of men and 28% of women said they prefer to use Apple’s iPhone. The third most popular choice was the Blackberry – 8% of men and 4% of women.

“Technology is important for our members. The very nature of having a secret affair means people are short of time, so they want speed and first rate functionality from a mobile. This survey is a vote of confidence in Samsung from the cheating community,” said Christoph Kraemer, AshleyMadison.com’s European Communications Director.

In related survey news, security company AVAST surveyed 9,060 smartphone owners in the US and found that most smartphone owners do not take security seriously. Read more about this topic here.
