Rovio Entertainment, the developer behind Angry Birds, announced that on September 27th it will roll out a new game called Bad Piggies.

Since it was downloaded millions and millions of times by people from all over the world, I think it’s safe to say that everyone is familiar with the Angry Birds game developed by Rovio Entertainment. The next chapter in the Angry Birds saga does not focus on the birds though, it focuses on their antagonists, the green pigs.

“The piggest game ever” as Rovio described it, is now in its final stages of development and will be rolled out to the public later this month. The new Bad Piggies game will be released on the 27th of September for iOS, Mac, and Android. The Windows 8, windows Phone, and PC versions will be released at a later time – but Rovio did not say when.

The goal in the Angry Birds game is quite simple. You need only fling the birds, destroy as much stuff a possible, and take out all the pigs. Things get a bit more complicated in the new Bad Piggies game, and that’s not a bad thing.

Just like with Rovio’s Amazing Alex game, you have to put your creativity to the test when playing Bad Piggies. What you have to do in the game is build these contraptions that let the piggies get from point A from point B. With help from a blueprint, you piece a rickety, creaky, hunk of junk contraption that you get to maneuver through a rather challenging course. Make it to the end, and you win. Crash, and you lose.

Additional information on Bad Piggies is available on the game's official webpage, Facebook, and Twitter.
