For the past few days rumor on the web had it that Rovio Mobile, the developer behind the immensely popular puzzle video game Angry Birds, will roll out a winter holidays edition of the game, just like it did on Halloween when it released Angry Birds Halloween for iPhone and iPod touch and Angry Birds Halloween HD for iPad. The rumors turned out to be true. Rovio Mobile has just announced that it rolled out Angry Birds Seasons for iOS and Android-powered mobile devices.

“Angry Birds Seasons is now available for download for iOS and Android devices! Initially launched in the App Store as Angry Birds Halloween, the game has been expanded with a brand new festive level pack Season’s Greedings,” announced Rovio Mobile in a blog post.

Rovio Mobile went on to say that the “Season’s Greedings festive level pack “consists of 25 daily surprises for fans of Angry Birds to enjoy while counting down the days until Christmas. Included in the game is also the 45-level Halloween special edition, now packaged as a separate episode called Trick Or Treat.”

If you would like to get Angry Birds Seasons for your iPhone or iPod Touch, you will have to part with $0.99 (or £0.59 or €0.79). If you would like to get Angry Birds Seasons HD for your iPad, you will have to part with a bit more money – the iPad version costs $1.99 (or £1.19 or €1.59). You will not have to part with your hard earned money if you purchased the Angry Birds Halloween or Angry Birds Halloween HD app and that’s because you will receive Angry Birds Seasons and Angry Birds Seasons HD via App Store update.

Android users can get Angry Birds Seasons via GetJar or the Android Market. The Android version does not cost a thing because it is ad-supported.

In related news, don’t forget that the 11th of December is the first official Angry Birds Day.
