A new Angry Birds title is on its way. It’s called Angry Birds Fight!, it is Rovio’s first game developed entirely in Japan, it is a player-versus-player puzzle game for iOS and Android.

Here’s the official gameplay trailer.

Rovio Entertainment is getting ready to release a new game called Angry Birds Fight! It will be available for Apple’s iOS and for Google’s Android mobile operating system. It will feature what Rovio calls “frenzied player-versus-player gameplay.”

And more to the point, it will feature puzzle player-versus-player battles. The rules are simple: line up 3 or more Angry Birds vertically or horizontally to attack the opponent. The battle takes place in real time. You will be battling against players from all over the world.

Created in collaboration with Japanese developer KITERETSU Inc., Angry Birds Fight! is Rovio’s first game developed entirely in Japan. As such, Japanese fans will be the first to get their hands on the game.

Come May 7th, Rovio will release Angry Birds Fight! in the Asia Pacific region. iOS and Android users in Japan, China, Korea, and Taiwan will be able to get the game and enjoy its frenzied player-versus-player gameplay.

What about the rest of the world? Well, they’ll just have to wait for a bit. The game will be release in the western world later this year. As Rovio explained, it is bringing Angry Birds Fight! to the rest of the world in early summer 2015.

You see, Nibblers soft launched in Canada, Finland, Australia, and New Zealand. So unless you’re in one of those locations, you’re stuck having to wait.
