Angry Birds Seasons, the Angry Birds version that celebrates some of the most magical and cherished holidays, themes and festivities, just got a new episode: NBA Ham Dunk.

The release of this new episode is Rovio’s way of celebrating the 2014-2015 NBA basketball season.

The 2014-2015 NBA basketball season, the 69th season of the National Basketball Association, is almost upon us. The defending champions, the San Antonio Spurs, will go against the Dallas Mavericks in the first game of the season, on the 28th of October.

To celebrate the new NBA season, Rovio decided to update the Angry Birds Seasons game.

Rovio recently rolled out a new episode called NBA Ham Dunk, episode that features 15 free NBA-themed levels and 30 NBA team levels (by purchasing an NBA Pass, you can access 1 custom level for each team in the NBA). In all, 45 new levels featuring the loveable birds going against the ball-hogging pigs.

NBA Ham Dunk features the Mighty Spalding Ball and a cool Shock Wave power for the Bomb Bird. You may already be familiar with the Shock Wave power from the original Angry Birds game. The cool thing about this power is that you can use it at the last minute to “beat the buzzer” and complete the level.

To play the NBA Ham Dunk episode you must get Angry Birds Seasons for iOS Android.
  • Angry Birds Seasons for iOS is available for download on the App Store.
  • Angry Birds seasons for Android is available for download on Google Play and Amazon.

Additional information on Angry Birds Seasons is available here.

In related news, Rovio will release Angry Birds Transformers this month. The action in Angry Birds Transformers takes place on Piggy Island. The island becomes the place where the Autobirds and Deceptihogs wreak havoc as they search for the EggSpark and fight the EggBots. You can play as either the Autobirds or Deceptihogs. No matter which side you choose, you will get to fight against swarms of enemies using some serious firepower.
